Growing up, Dr. Abbie spent summers in Frankfort where she fell in love with the lakes, trails, beaches and community. After a long academic career that took her through Wisconsin, Alaska and Oregon, she made her way back to Northern Michigan in 2015. With offices in Traverse City and Frankfort, Dr. Abbie offers Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy and Lifestyle advice to help people reach their health goals.
Dr. Abbie is very excited to bring to Whole Health her skills in Aesthetics including Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling with or without Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF).
Dr. Abbie helps people with alternative pain management, menopause and menstrual difficulties, autoimmune conditions, skin disorders/rejuvenation, sleep disorders, stress management/anxiety, and more.
If you are looking for an integrative and collaborative approach to your health, Dr. Abbie can help!
Over the last 5 years, Dr. Abbie has grown more interested in how our environmental exposures impact our nervous, hormone and immune systems. As a result, her Naturopathic practice focuses on Environmentally Acquired Illness including mold/mycotoxin illness, heavy metal exposures, chronic infections and tick-borne illnesses. She has completed additional training through the American College for the Advancement in Medicine and studied under Dr. Paul Anderson, ND in advanced detoxification strategies. Dr. Abbie earned her Mold Literacy Certification under Dr. Jill Crista and continued studying the intriguing and important field of mold/mycotoxin illness through a professional mentorship with Dr. Crista and Dr. Neil Nathan, MD.
When she's not in the office, you'll find Doc cross country skiing, paddleboarding, roller blading (yes, she's bringing it back! :), mountain biking or hiking with her dogs Franklin, Judy and Bernice along with her long-time life partner, Joe.
